I had the delight of meeting this lovely and down-to-earth Queen of Spanish Cuisine at a recent Book Fair. On this occasion, as on her popular Saturday morning TV show, she shared her warmth and great recipes as well as the loving tales, refranes, etc. of her Puerto Rican parents, grandmother and children. They brought smiles to her captive audience and particularly to the large number of Puerto Rican Americans, as I, who felt her warmth as we listened and recalled the similarity to our own experiences. Her new cookbook, "Daisy: Morning, Noon and Night" is terrific, a must-have for latino cooking, and you can buy it on her website. Also, don´t forget to sign up and receive her e-mails with free delicious Spanish recipes.
